We are so proud of our League Sister Megan Gillis! Congratulations Spa Haven's Business of the Year nomination at the 2022 Banker's Cup!
Congratulations to Dr. Paula Chisholm Orcutt! She successfully defended her dissertation at Southeastern
University. We are so proud of you!
We proudly congratulate our JLGWH Sister Jennifer A. Swenson. She currently serves as our Community Research & Project Development (CRPD) Chair.
She enjoys spending time with her husband Ben and two sons- Nate and Theo. She credits her parents for her outstanding work ethic. Jennifer was appointed as a Circuit Court Judge over a year ago but due to COVID, her ceremony was delayed. Congratulations Jennifer! We are so proud and wish you and your family the very best.
Amy Jahna has been chosen as All Saints Academy's Teacher of the Year of 2020 - 2021. Besides actively participating in JLGWH and teaching her 4th grade students, she helps with the school's Dance Ensemble and is the head of the lower school's running club. We cannot express enough how proud and happy we are for you. May this achievement prompt more accomplishments in the years to come. Congratulations!
Berkley Charter School awarded Aleah Hearn Pratt as their 2020 - 2021 Teacher of the Year. Throughout her years in the JLGWH she served as our President and supported our community while working on many different fundraisers and projects. Beyond her volunteerism in the League she has proven herself to be an amazing teacher while helping teach our next generation of volunteers and children in our community. Please help us congratulate her on this wonderful accomplishment!
Prima completed AJLI’s 21-Day Racial Equality Challenge. We are honored to have her as a part of the JLGWH and excited for the wisdom she will bring to our League from this amazing course.
While celebrating 40 years of service to the Greater Winter Haven community, JLGWH unfortunately lost our founding member Caroline Blanton Beckley. Without her desire to start this local League, her skills, and her compassion we would not be where we are today without her. Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of this amazing woman of service. To read more about her legacy, please click here.
